Ted Coene is the Co-Owner and President of Group C Media Inc. and has been with the company since 1988. Mr. Coene’s responsibilities include overseeing all financial responsibilities of Group C Media Inc., business development, acquisitions, and the event division which includes the Business Facilities LiveXchange franchise and the Continuity Insights Management Conferences. Mr. Coene previously served as Publisher of Business Facilities magazine for 20 years.
Mr. Coene’s acquisitions of LawnSite, PlowSite, Turf and Continuity Insights were instrumental in restoring Group C Media to record profits (LawnSite and PlowSite were subsequently sold). Mr. Coene is also the founder of the events division and sold its founding property, The TFM Show, to one of the largest event producers, Hanley Wood. Group C Media subsequently launched its hosted-buyer events including Business Facilities LiveXchange and Business Facilities LiveXchange Fall Forum. In 2005, Business Facilities LiveXchange, which focuses on corporate relocation and site selection, was honored by Expo magazine as the best new non-traditional launch.
He is a member of numerous associations including the Society of Independent Show Organizers, SIIA Media, International Economic Development Council, and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.
Mr. Coene received a B.A. from Wake Forest University and attended the Leon Hess Business School at Monmouth University.
He lives in New Jersey with his wife Kimberley and their children Robert, Thomas, and Carolyn. He enjoys reading, tennis, golf and traveling.
