Overview: Support Editorial Director of B2B publication in planning and executing content for bi-monthly print magazine, brand website, and in-person events. Oversee articles in print and web to include content collection through entire production process; administrative tasks supporting the mission; and contributing to the long-term goals of the brand. Group C Media is a 50+ year family-owned business with a portfolio of media properties and events. This opportunity will be in the economic development and site-selection marketplace. Industry knowledge welcomed, but not required.

Reports to: Editorial Director, Business Facilities

Responsibilities: Manage multiple advertorial sections for print issue, including collecting and organizing materials in a timely manner. Prepare copy and images for art department, write section introductions, and traffic the content through editorial production process.Oversee several regular editorial departments for print issue, including gathering content and handling materials through the production process. Communicate with and manage freelance writers, as needed.Support digital content via CRM (WordPress) collaborating with Editorial Director and Digital Director to post website content daily, including news releases, contributed articles, and original content. Conduct podcasts with industry experts. Assist in content creation for social media.Collaborate and communicate regularly with internal departments, including Publisher and sales team; art/production; and leadership.Manage and maintain database of editorial contactsRepresent brand at two Business Facilities in-person events annually. Additionally, travel to industry conferences and client locations 2-4 times per year to represent publication and to seek out news and trends for editorial content.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office; Adobe InDesign; WordPress
  • Excellent written communication skills and knowledge of the English language
  • Self-starter who can multi-task efficiently and work independently

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in an editorial position
  • B2B experience preferred

Work Environment:

  • New Jersey location with hybrid available for the right candidate. Availability to attend in-office meetings.
